Cart Copier is a Chrome extension that lets you send the contents of your shopping cart on a store's website to another person, who can then add the same items to their own cart on that store. This policy explains what data the extension handles and what it does with it.
Cart Copier has no servers and no analytics. It never sends your data to its developer or to any third party. It only reads the store page you are on when you click the extension, and only to do what you asked it to do.
When you click Create share code, the extension reads the items in your cart on the store tab you are viewing: product names, options such as size and color, quantities, product links, and the store's own item identifiers. It does this by asking the store's website for your cart, using the session you are already signed in with, or by reading the cart page you have open.
The extension does not read your passwords, payment details, addresses, order history, or any page other than the tab you clicked it on, and only at the moment you use it.
The cart contents are turned into a share code inside your browser. The code is shown to you so you can copy it and send it to someone yourself, through whatever messaging app you choose. Cart Copier does not send the code anywhere. Anyone you give the code to can see the items it contains.
When someone pastes a code and clicks the add button, the extension asks the store's website to add those items to their cart, using their own signed-in session on that store. For stores it cannot fill in automatically, it opens the product pages in new tabs instead.
The last code you pasted is saved in your browser's local extension storage, so it is still there if the popup closes while you switch to the right store. It is deleted once the items have been added or their product pages opened, or when you clear the paste box. If some items fail to add, it is kept so you can try again. Nothing else is stored.
Cart Copier does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. Data is never used for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose other than copying a cart.
